We are currently looking for friendly, enthusiastic people to work as seasonal staff in the following part-time roles:
- People with an interest in history and visitor service, who would like to train as Syon House Guides
- Sales oriented Retail Assistants to work in the Visitor Centre selling tickets, gifts and advising visitors and guests
You must enjoy working with people and be prepared to work flexible hours including weekends, particularly Sundays & Bank Holidays

Permanent Full-time Job
We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and self-motivated person to help with the day-to-day running of Syon House and associated properties in and around Syon Park in Brentford, SW London.
In this role you will be part of a small team responsible for ensuring that all maintenance related work around the estate is completed to the highest standards and in a timely fashion. Typical work of the team involves plumbing, ductwork and drainage, paving, groundwork, carpentry, painting & decorating, electrical and other maintenance related activities. Our ideal candidate for this position will have a particular aptitude for plumbing with recognised qualifications offering a distinct advantage.
Related duties include security and operation of security systems, testing of safety systems, setting out furniture for events, routine meter reading and maintaining records appropriate to each.
In addition to existing maintenance we envisage the ideal postholder to have knowledge of health and safety procedures, excellent communication skills and an ability to work flexibly alone or as part of a team dedicated to ensuring safety and enhancing the visitor experience of our clients.
Hours of work will generally be 0800 – 1700hrs Monday and 0815 – 1700hrs Tuesday to Friday, with one hours unpaid lunch break to be taken each day. Some Bank Holiday, evening and weekend work may be required.
Due to the size of the estate and the need to travel on and off site a full driving licence is required.
Holiday allocation is currently 25 days plus Bank Holidays
The anticipated salary for this post will be in the region of £22,000 – £24,000, depending upon skills and experience
