The Hotspur Wing
The Hotspur Wing
Where indulgence meets tranquillity
The Duke’s Private Family Apartments in Syon House have been extensively refurbished to create The Hotspur Wing. The self-contained accommodation provides a billiard room, dining room for twelve, lounge, a snug, five double ensuite bedrooms, hallway and kitchen – oh and did we mention another sitting room? The Hotspur Wing has its own private entrance, and parking is available for all guests. Helicopter arrival is also an option.
Think Downton with a modern twist. Antique furniture sits side by side with the very best of modern design.
Ever wondered what it would be like to live in a stately home? This is your chance to find out.
The views from the bedrooms overlook the Parkland and river Thames are to die for – sweeping vistas of rolling acres designed by Capability Brown, down to the Tidal water meadow, to Kew Gardens and beyond. You can scarcely believe that you are only eight miles from the centre of the city – and yet you are in a stately home on the very last privately-owned country estate in London. This is your chance to feel unburdened by the world outside. If you are lucky enough to witness a sunset over the Wyatt bridge – or indeed a misty sunrise over the tidal water meadow, or perhaps one of those rare occasions when the tidal water meadow floods, and it feels like boats are sailing through the gardens – then you are a very lucky soul indeed.
There is the sense of a secret life beyond the public gaze – of doors leading to invisible staircases, of figures disappearing up a staircase with a briefcase or basket. Staying here, you become part of this life, passing the security barriers and making yourselves at home in a Stately Home.
You are free to explore the magnificent Gardens during opening hours as often as you like, and the friendliness of the Syon Park staff will help you feel even more part of the scene. It will be an unforgettable experience. The most wonderful staycation...
