Sunday Afternoon Lectures - Afternoon lectures in Syon House on Sundays from 2nd June to 7th July. Lectures start at 3.00pm and are free with a House and Garden ticket. Archaeology at Syon Park - This summer the Museum of London is returning to Syon Park for a second season of field excavation. They will explore how the Roman road and settlement at Brentford has shaped the landscape, and its impact right up to the present day.
Last year they looked for Sir Richard Wynne’s house (‘Little Syon’) and the star find was the cellar under the house, complete with stairs and brick floor. A hands-on chance to see how the Romans have impacted on the landscape of Syon Park. The excavation course provides a week-long introduction to archaeology in practice, suitable for all levels. You’ll explore the techniques of digging and how to unlock the mysteries hidden within landscapes guided by professional MOLA archaeologists and Museum of London curators.

Weekends only from Friday 22nd November to Sunday 8th December 2013
The 8th Enchanted Woodland - Syon Park is again illuminating the gardens and Great Conservatory for the 8th Annual Enchanted Woodland so wrap up warm and join us. Open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only from Friday 22nd November to Sunday 8th December. Open from 5.00pm to 9.00pm with last entry at 8.00pm. Tickets only £7.00 for adults and £3.00 for children which will be available nearer the time. Check flickr.com, Syon Enchanted, for some great pictures from previous years. Warm clothing and stout footwear is advisable and photography is positively encouraged. Please note: with the exception of assistance dogs, we regret dogs cannot be allowed onto the trail or into the gardens. Refreshments will be available to purchase each evening.
